It was all born from frustration.

We were sick and tired of social media only putting agreeable content in front of us, forcing us into an echo chamber that we didn’t want to be in just to sell ads.

After the riots started in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, we also got sick of hearing people say things like “I want to contribute, I just don’t know where to begin,” and posting swipe through carousels on Instagram touting themselves as social justice warriors. We felt that we needed to move communication away from social media echo chambers and force people to actually engage with one another over issues that affect us all.

So, we scheduled a Zoom for our friends.

One thing led to another and next thing we know our humble Zooms had evolved to serve as spaces for people from all walks of life to share their perspectives and experiences as they relate to each session’s topic of interest.
