Proud of Everything We Make is what we want to remind our contributors and our audience to be every day. Straight Shot: The First Edition, is a time capsule detailing the diversity of feelings and coping mechanisms relating to the Black experience in such a tumultuous year as 2020. We hope that creating a space for these emotions to be considered will help the community at large come to grips with the modern consequences of racism. This is not just a space of feeling and healing for Black people, but also a communal space for anyone looking to understand what role they can play in reclaiming our future in the name of justice. PEWM will continue to evolve in ways that complement the needs of the community, and amplify the voices of folks who have something to stay. We always want to tell a story and encourage conversations in real time. Stay tuned for The Second Edition. You can also check out our blog under "Our World" at pewmmag.com.
